Your first AI project can be something small
You don’t need a grand plan to begin exploring AI. A recurring task you already understand can give you a useful place to start.
Think about something that regularly takes more time than you’d like: organising notes, drafting a content plan or preparing questions for a meeting.
Choose one task
Keep the scope small enough that you can tell whether the result helps. “Plan three posts around this idea” is easier to work with than “sort out my entire marketing strategy”.
Define the finish line
Before you begin, write one sentence describing what you want to have at the end. For example: “I want three post outlines for small business owners, each with a hook and one useful takeaway.”
Give it a useful starting point
Share the context you want it to use: the topic, audience, purpose and format. A short description in your own words is enough to begin.
Help me turn [idea] into three post outlines for [audience]. Each should include a hook, one practical takeaway and a closing question. My main message is [message].
Review, then refine
Check whether the suggestions reflect your message. Pick the strongest direction and ask for a specific improvement, such as a clearer example or a more natural opening.
Keep what works
Save the useful prompt with a note about the context and changes you made. The next time the task comes around, you’ll have a starting point you can adapt.
The goal of a first project is simple: find one practical way AI can support how you already work. You can build from there.
